Our organisation had the opportunity to join thousands of other community hero’s and volunteers from across the UK with the Fare Share Community Cookery School in partnership with Tesco and Jamie Oliver.
We also got access to to take part in three virtual masterclasses delivered by Jamie and his team. This included a demonstration of how to make a starter, main and dessert by Jamie and the experts.
Our Collect & Share Project Coordinator and community volunteer Darran Wallace was on hand to learn from the best in the business to deliver his very own masterclass demonstration to local community members who were involved in the project. We had a total of 15 families engaged and taking part in the virtual demonstration which was a huge success.
Tesco kindly donated all the food resources for the virtual Community Cookery School which meant everyone could take part using all the resources bought from Tesco.
We would like to say a special thank you to all those who took part, our team here at Breen and to Mark McRobbie Hanlon from Fare Share.
